310s Stainless Steel Pipe: High Temperature Oxidation Resistance

310s stainless steel pipe is austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. Because it has high percentage of chromium and nickel, 310s stainless steel pipe works well in high temperatures and has good high temperature resistance.

1. 310s stainless steel pipe shows its good oxidation resistance at 800°C, 900°C, and 1000°C. With the extension of time at each temperature, there are different degrees of oxidative weight gain, but the oxidative trend slows down. At the same time, as the temperature increases, the oxidation rate increases.

2. The oxide film is composed of MnCr2O4, Cr2O3 and SiO2. With the increase of temperature, the production of MnCr2O4 increases. The three-layer compact structure and its own good oxidation resistance make the 310s stainless steel pipe show good high temperature oxidation resistance.
